Sadu Heritage Majlis
A hospitality majlis that revives the spirit of the old Emirati house in every detail. Long floor seating with cushions in red, black and white Sadu weave, a ceiling dressed in Sadu textile carried by dark timber beams with hanging tassels, carved wooden columns bound with rope, and warm, earthy textured walls punctuated by lit niches.
Light is part of the story here: brass lanterns on the walls, candles in floor lanterns, and a soft glow from the niches and the carved wooden lattice windows. Sadu rugs on a stone floor, coffee dallahs and date trays, a corner for the oud and drum, and a falcon perch complete the picture, making the majlis a place where heritage is lived rather than merely displayed.
